NEARBY PLACES OF INTEREST

Within 20 miles are the Cathedral City of Norwich and historical towns of, Bury St Edmunds, Thetford, Watton and Wymondham. A few miles further afield is the famous city of Cambridge and the town of Kings Lynn.

For walkers, cyclists and pony trekkers, we are only 1 mile from the Peddars Way long distance walk (which links to the North Norfolk Coastal path and the Icknield way) and the Great Eastern Pingo Trail-8 mile round trip (walkers only).

A 5 minute stroll will bring you onto the edge of Thetford Forest, the largest lowland forest in Britain.

There are a number of Nature Reserves in the area including a 30 acre conservation site on the farm. English Nature have recorded  230 species of flora here, including some rarities.

For bird-watching enthusiasts, The National Centre for the British Trust for Ornithology is based in Thetford.

Thetford Forest Enterprise arrange events in the forest throughout the year.

We are not far from The Broads, several National Trust Properties, Gardens, Grimes Graves Neolithic flint mines and Snetterton racing circuit.
